1. DISCOVERY CALL & BRIEF
After agreeing to work together, we’ll schedule a video call where I’ll get to know you and your brand, and we will discuss your goals and vision for this shoot at length. I’ll be sure to gain all the intel I need to craft a unique creative direction for your product.
2. CREATIVE DIRECTION
After getting a clear understanding of your vision, I’ll put together a comprehensive deck of creative direction for the shoot. This will include storytelling themes, props, storyboarding motion pieces, and specific treatments both for the overarching concept, as well as each individual scene/product we plan to shoot.
A moment to toot my own horn: this aspect of the project is my super power! If you’re looking for a differentiating factor in the search for your next photography partner, this is it. I will bring your products to life in ways you’ve only imagined – until now of course.
3. PROP SOURCING
& SET DESIGN
With creative direction approved, it’s time to source every prop, and work through the logistical side of each shot’s set design. What backdrops and surfaces do we need? What props – animal, vegetable and mineral – must we source, and where can we find them? What tools and gear will be needed to produce this shot and execute it in real time? Nailing down the execution of complex motion scenes takes a practiced hand, and it just so happens that I’ve got two!
4. SHOOT DAY
Hooray! Shoot day is finally here, and the best part is, you don’t have to lift a finger. Your shoot will be produced remotely, so you needn’t be bothered. Sit back, relax and start counting down the hours til you get your hands on first round previews.
5. RETOUCHING & EDITING
This is where the magic happens. Color correction, enhancing light, spot removal, compositing, skin smoothing and all other manner of Photoshop wizardry happen in this post-production phase. If you thought you loved the images straight out of camera, just wait til you see them fully manicured!
6. FINAL DELIVERY
Like Christmas, but for us working adults! After approving proofs, you’ll receive a link to a digital gallery where you can download all your final assets. Time to start implementing your shiny new content into your website, socials, email campaigns etc!
